The Glan Llyn Inn
In 2014 the Glan Llyn Inn, Clawddnewydd – was bought by the community. Since then alterations and improvements have been made on a regular basis. The interior has had a make over and it now has a very welcoming restaurant that serves food in the evenings and at weekends (see restaurant opening times), the bars have all been remodelled to give a more comfortable atmosphere where you can sit and enjoy a drink. There is also a children’s and games room.
Outside we have built a custom decking area at the front and a new beer garden to the rear where you can have a drink alfresco when the sun is shining (which it does often in Clawddnewydd). We have theme nights and weekends when there are rugby and football matches being played. We also host music nights, and various events to raise money for charity. We are also Vale of Clwyd CAMRA Community pub of the year 2015.
As part of the Antur Cae Cymru Village Association we support our local shop which is now incorporated as part of the Glan Llyn. We regularly raise fund for good causes and celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween and bonfire nights with events for all the family to take part and enjoy.
Our volunteers must be the best in the world they are always there when we need them. You can’t put a price on that; so thank you very much for all you do!
